Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the 47th President of the United States on Monday, January 20th of 2025. According to the Associated Press, Trump won with 295 electoral votes, overcoming his opponent Kamala Harris who only received 226. In his victory speech, Trump thanked his supporters, claiming his campaign was “the greatest political movement of all time”. J.D. Vance, who will take Donald Trump’s side as Vice President, added to this remark by saying “I think we just witnessed the greatest political comeback in the history of the United States Of America.” Trump even addressed his attempted assassination by saying “Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save our country and restore America to greatness.”, but only time will tell if his policies vindicate this comment.
