About Justus, founder & co-Owner
With over ten years’ experience as an independent filmmaker, Justus has operated as the Founder/Co-Owner of Clayfield since April 2015. With Music Director/Co-Owner Kathryn, Justus has launched multiple original series including Interesting People, ALLCAST, and The JustUs Express. On his eighteenth birthday, he self-published his first fictional book to Amazon. He’s published 200+ poems, 14 short stories, and directly assisted in producing 500+ video projects ranging from independent films to basic videos for growing YouTube channels. Through his collective work, he’s generated over a million views.
At the age of 15, he collaborated with the Library in
Sandpoint, Idaho (a town near home) to help create a writer’s club as the first official member. Together, with previous employee Morgan (the adult charged with teen club supervision), the writer’s club grew to include many from the community. Even after both Morgan's and Justus' absence in the event of personal travel, the club was revived later on to become the Sandpoint Storymakers. They’ve now gone on to publish their own book (a short story anthology). Justus’ involvement in the community has not gone unnoticed when at the age of 17 he was invited to speak at the Loving Truth Conference in Yakima, Washington in 2017. He has since gained recognition through social media by expanding Clayfield; an independent platform that hosts previously unseen creative individuals.
Justus describes himself as an "innovative thinker providing candid perspective" which is evident in his leadership of Clayfield towards new and original ideas. With an evolving strategy, he can instantly adapt to the ever-morphing landscape of social media. The respective success of Clayfield's original series Interesting People, ALLCAST, and The JustUs Express are evidence of his strategy. Through consistent relevancy, he attracts a growing audience.
Clayfield, and its ventures, have always been very close to Justus' heart. He is tremendously passionate about the work that he does, oftentimes inspiring that same passion in others. When directing or producing, his creative spirit is excitable and contagious. In everything to which he applies himself, he is wholly committed and determined to create the highest-quality result.
Justus was homeschooled and self-graduated at the age of 17. He continued his learning by reading hundreds upon hundreds of books, knowledge which he now regularly applies to his work. He attributes much of his success to his hunger for information; a hunger that is, in
his own words, never satisfied. Because of this, he continues to avidly read and research, constantly expanding his understanding of both business and the world in general.
